"Home in the Garden"

Home in the Garden

She’s dancing in the garden,
Happy as can be,
Singing to all the birds,
Sitting in the trees.

She loves her new home,
She has waited for so long,
Looking forward to this day,
For it is here where she belongs.

We have been apart for so long,
But she knew I had to go,
I told her I would see her again,.
That I love her, so she knows

I finally catch her eye,
And I begin to race,
Through the grass and flower beds,
To kiss her and embrace.

At last we are together again,
She will never be alone,
In the garden at last,
We have both, finally, come home.

"Home in the Garden" is a 20 lines poem composed of 5 quatrains with a regular rhyme scheme of ABCB. The rhythm is consistent through out the poem giving it a subtle feeling as readers read through.
